Kronbladene åbner sig, når damptrykket stiger - og væsken fra gryden stiger op og lægger sig i den let rundede 'skål'. På 'blomstens' blade afkøles væsken og løber tilbage i gryden gennem hullerne.
Det kan gå i mikroovn, almindelig ovn og vaskes i opvaskemaskinen. Låget fås i 2 størrelser.

It is shaped like a flower, and the petals open up when the steam pressure rises and thus acts as a valve - the liquid from the pot rises up and settles in the slightly rounded 'bowl'. On the leaves of the 'flower', the liquid cools and flows back into the pot through the holes.
